StatPro is hosting a Roundtable dinner following Day 1 of Financial Technology Forum’s Performance Measurement Americas 2017 conference.

The dinner takes place on Wednesday, March 8th, at The Lambs Club, 132 W 44th St, New York, NY. This will follow our workshop ‘Next Generation Performance Measurement: Why, What & How?’ at Financial Technology Forum’s Performance Measurement Americas 2017 conference.

The roundtable will include Carl Bacon, Chairman, leading a discussion regarding the GIPS® 20:20 standards, as well as Ian Thompson, our Global Director of Portfolio Analytics, to discuss performance measurement.

Carl Bacon CIPM is a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Measurement, and a founding member of both the Investment Performance Council and GIPS®. Carl Bacon joined StatPro as Chairman in April 2000. Prior to joining StatPro, Carl was the Director of Risk Control and Performance at Foreign & Colonial Management Ltd, Vice President Head of Performance (Europe) for JP Morgan Investment Management Inc., and Head of Performance for Royal Insurance Asset Management. Carl is a member of the GIPS® Executive Committee, ex-chair of both the Verification and  Interpretation sub-committees and founder of “The Freedom Index Company”. Carl is also the author of “Practical Portfolio Performance Measurement & Attribution” (part of the Wiley Finance Series), “Practical Risk-adjusted Performance Measurement”, numerous articles and papers and editor of “Advanced Portfolio Attribution Analysis”

Ian Thompson, Global Director of Portfolio Analytics at StatPro

With over 27 years’ experience working in the Asset management sector and more than 23 years in performance measurement, Ian is a recognized subject matter expert in investment performance analysis and regularly speaks at international fund management conferences and seminars. Ian held previous positions at Bi-Sam as the Executive Regional Director for Asia Pacific, as Director of Business Development for Microgen Asset Management Solutions, Director of Product Strategy (Asset Management Solutions) for AFA Systems and Director of Strategic Asset Management Solutions (SAMS).
