StatPro ETL Service

StatPro has recently launched an ETL service
(ETL meaning “extract”, “transform”, “load), designed to accelerate
the go-live of a Seven implementation by scrubbing and transforming
standard back office and index vendor extracts into a Seven-ready
feed. Seven ETL is capable of extracting data from a variety of
formats and back office output, securely transferring that to the
hosted Seven server where it is transformed into a standard Seven
import feed.
Some of the key elements of ETL are:
- Secure transfer: data is passed over
secure, 128-bit encrypted ftp from the client site to the hosted
Seven platform
- Unlimited data transformation, built
on best practices for data management. ETL has a flexible data
manipulation engine capable of validating, calculating, creating
and requesting data. Some examples of transformations that have
been implemented for clients are:
- sending a request to back
office for all holdings from the date of this trade to
current;
- creating closing
transactions where the back office system cannot;
- building a security master
file, merging various feeds from index vendors, the StatPro Index
Service and back office to produce a single consolidated securities
database for Seven. Often identifiers and classification
hierarchies differ between providers, ETL is able to screen and
prioritise these into a single feed to Seven
- Workflow-based data loader. Once data
is ready to be loaded into Seven, the ETL tool has a powerful
workflow and notifications engine that processes the import and
sends alerts of error or success via email, backed by comprehensive
and searchable error logs for traceability.

With the Seven ETL service, StatPro provides a
consulting team expert in the data requirements for Seven, together
with a library of standard back office and index vendor interfaces.
This allows for rapid implementation of your data in Seven and a
rich toolbox to deal with any gaps, inconsistencies or additional
controls required to build an optimal analytics database and cut
down on manual checking and processing at each month end.
