Introduction
Ruggero Frisina, European
Sales Director, StatPro
Welcome to the spring 2011 edition of StatPro's
Quarterly Newsletter, bringing you all the latest news from the
StatPro Group.
My face is probably unfamiliar to most of you,
so please allow me to introduce myself: I joined StatPro in
October 2010 as European Sales Director with the task of
strengthening our sales team and implementing new distribution
strategies for our product offering. In my previous role I helped a
few institutions improve their risk management practices and I hope
that my expertise will be of use to StatPro’s clients in
Europe.
I join the company at a very exciting time;
StatPro Revolution, our cloud-based portfolio analytics platform,
is approaching its commercial release. Many clients, prospects and
individuals across the world have been trialing Revolution over the
past few months. Their feedback has been encouraging and has helped
us refine the platform to meet the needs of large, medium and small
organizations alike.
We are currently planning launch events in
all major European financial centres and we would be delighted to
have you participate. We will announce dates soon, so watch this
space!
With that, 2011 is shaping up to be very
‘eventful’ for StatPro. We started the year by celebrating 10 years
of success for QuantLib – the most widely used free/open source
pricing library in the world – in January at the
first QuantLib Forum in London. On that occasion, we were
joined by over 100 QuantLib participants; a mixed audience of risk
managers, quants and developers listening to the speeches of the
QuantLib founders, including our own Marco Marchioro and Luigi
Ballabio.
I look forward to meeting you over the next
few months and to working with you in 2011 and
beyond.
In the meantime, I hope you find this
newsletter of interest and if you have any questions on Revolution,
on the QuantLib or on any other topic discussed in the
newsletter, please do not hesitate to contact your local sales
representative or myself.
Kind regards,
Ruggero Frisina
