London – Technical Sales Specialist

StatPro has found a way to migrate UBS Delta within the StatPro Revolution analytics platform without affecting client continuity. Delta clients will maintain the same inputs, outputs, reports while transitioning to the new platform; equally, new clients will not have to re-implement their operations and can select Delta without fears of future discontinuity. The adoption of the continuity approach has given a renewed impetus to Delta sales, which are thriving, especially in the ALM space.

The Sales Specialist will work closely with the Head of Delta Sales, initially supporting the pre-sales efforts in UK and Netherlands, and with the possibility of expanding the geographic area of sales support to the rest of Europe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn UBS Delta in depth; become a product expert with strong domain knowledge
  • Support the pre-sales activity, conducting sales presentations, demos, supporting trials and responding to RFPs
  • Cooperate with the Head of Delta Sales and other StatPro salespeople in defining the client business needs, topical use cases to formulate sales strategies and ways to penetrate the market tactically and strategically
  • Cooperate with Product Management, Quants and Development teams to find ways of improving the application, building up greater strength in functionality and expanding the realm of application and satisfaction of business needs
  • Operate as a senior level of support for clients, helping the Client Service team for complex cases and for interpreting the business needs of clients in the most appropriate way

Required Technical Attributes

  • Proven expertise in Risk and Fixed Income;
  • Capacity to understand in depth the business needs of our clients: asset managers, asset owners (pension funds, insurers, sovereign wealth funds), banks/broker-dealers, central banks and investment consultants
  • Knowledge and understanding of Performance Analytics is a plus
  • Familiarity with technology and experience in using/implementing other risk, position-keeping systems

Ideal CV Backgrounds

  • Trading experiences in the area of credit and/or fixed income derivatives
  • Portfolio Management experience in the area of fixed income and/or ALM
  • Experience of Risk Management, preferably in sell side. If not accompanied by trading experience it is required to have a strong interest in quantitative aspects (but not needed to be a quant)
  • Senior experience of Client Service at a competitor (MSCI, Axioma, FTSE Russell Yield Book, Bloomberg Point/Port/Mars, BlackRock Solutions), with a desire to make the next step in career
  • CFA/FRM or MBA is a plus but not required
