Justin Wheatley - Careers at StatPro - Portfolio ManagementJustin Wheatley, CEO, StatPro

Justin began his career in 1989 as a salesman with Micropal, a provider of independent information on mutual funds. He set up an agency for Micropal in 1991 in Switzerland and grew the business to cover France and Luxembourg. In 1994, he founded StatPro, floating the business in May 2000, raising £5 million to build up StatPro’s international expansion. StatPro´s revenues have grown from under £3 million to over £49 million since 2000. He has day-to-day responsibility for the Group.

 

Craig Arenhold, CEO, StatPro South Africa; CEO, Infovest

After starting his career in a trading and then accounting space with Deloitte, Craig built his career in the creation of Fundamental Software, a company that he co-founded in 2003. Fundamental is a South African company, providing fund accounting valuation and unitisation products to many investment management firms in Cape Town and Johannesburg. After 10 years at the helm of Fundamental, Craig shifted his focus to performance, attribution and risk, when he joined the StatPro Group as CEO of StatPro South Africa in 2013. While working closely with co-shareholders and partners, Craig is ultimately responsible for the bottom line performance of the business. Craig was then also appointed CEO of Infovest SA in 2017.

Carl Bacon CIPM, Chairman of the GIPS® Executive Committee & Chief StatPro Advisor

Carl previously worked as Director of Risk Control and Performance at F&C Investment Management Limited and prior to that was Vice President – Head of Performance at JP Morgan Investment Management Inc. He is a founder member of both the Investment Performance Council and GIPS®, Chair of the GIPS Executive Committee, and a member of the Advisory Board of the Journal of Performance Measurement. Carl is a director of the Freedom Index Company and is also the author of ‘Practical Portfolio Performance Measurement & Attribution’ and ‘Practical Risk-Adjusted Performance Measurement’.
